6 Ways Pizza Day Was Celebrated around the world
A developer, Laszlo Hanyecz, spent 10,000 BTC for 2 large pizzas from Papa Johns on the 22nd of May back in 2010. The day is commemorated as Pizza Day because it is probably the first ever transaction taken out with bitcoins in exchange for a commodity.
Two large Papa John’s pizzas. 10,000 Bitcoins. First transaction ever.
The 10,000 bitcoins used back then was worth $30 USD but now is worth around 7,91,00,050 USD. Take a minute, it’s okay.
Here is How People Celebrated Pizza Day
