Bitcoin Rises Above $4,000 USD For the First Time in 2019
The world’s largest cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, for the first time this year has gone up above $4,000 USD. In a two-week high, Bitcoin is making large gains.
Bitcoin made the majority of its jump on Sunday, making more than 6% hike in value. Bitcoin’s move up is a direct reaction to a large injection of volume into the market.
Even earlier today, ie Monday, Bitcoin went up by almost $300 USD in a matter of hours.
Keeping with the upward movement, Bitcoin at the time of writing is still managing 6.95% hikes.
Common Across the Market
The entire market at this point is facing similar gains. With the new year, there is new volume that is coming into the cryptocurrency market. With the new volume inflating the price, all the cryptocurrencies in the market at this point are in the green and making gains.
Some cryptocurrencies have gone one step further and made double digit gains as well.
Cardano, Litecoin, etc Best Performances
Apart from Bitcoin and the top cryptocurrencies, there are quite a few cryptocurrencies that are making double digit gains.
Among those coins are the likes of Cardano, Litecoin and NEO. All three of these coins are making sun 20% gains and are heralding in the new year with positive movements in the upward direction.
Cardano has made gains to the tune of 9.16%, Litecoin has made 12.16% and NEO has also made similar gains in the past couple of days.
Along with these underdogs of the market, Ethereum too has been making quite large gains. Most of the Ethereum gains are attributed to the hardfork that are scheduled for this month.
In fact, the hardfork has gone as far as to help Ethereum back to the second largest cryptocurrency in the market, by market capitalisation last week.
