While the crypto market is in no man’s land, NFTs are reaching new all-time highs. Multiple projects broke through long-standing consolidations, set new record highs, and made it into top rankings in just a couple of weeks. Lazy Lions and Robots are two projects that have had that type of success recently, and there is no reason why we won’t see many more in the coming weeks.
Today, we are back with another collection in our latest Spotlight series, and it is none other than DeadFellaz. We have been watching this project for a while now, and it also had its breakthrough moment after reaching a new all-time high of 1.6ETH. In less than one week, the floor price tripled, and Open Sea volume reached 2,000 ETH. The ramp-up in price will always seem sudden and unexpected, but the work that goes behind the scenes justifies it 100%. So without further ado, let us dive in and figure out what makes Deadfellaz a sustainable and worthy NFT project.
About DeadFellaz
DeadFellaz is a collection of 10,000 undead NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain. Every holder gets exclusive access to witness the latest developments in the NFT tech sphere and enjoy the art, culture, and community. This project launched in early August, and the first public mint was announced a week later. Similar to many generative-profile picture collections, DeadFellaz has many attributes that make every NFT unique.
DeadFellaz has more than 300 combinations of randomly generated traits, including over 50 different outfits. Some of the main traits are Eyes Grade, Mouth Grade, and Nose Grade. The body of these NFTs has many categories in itself. The few notable ones are the Sand Camo Jacket, White Brand Tee, and Pilot Jacket.
The team planned the public mint differently. They reserved 2000 NFTs for early supporters (1300) and gradual release for giveaways (700). The rest 8000 were up for grabs on the public mint. The mint price was set at 0.025 ETH. The max mint per buyer was 13. It was truly a jackpot for the ones who got in. If they believed in the project and resisted selling for small profits, they would now make more than 30x returns.
Meet the Artists— Betty and Psych
Both the artists of DeadFellaz have tons of experience in the creative industry. Based in Australia, Betty is a Co-Director of a Creative Production Agency and has clients all over the world. She is a hardworking woman who wants to uplift others and plans to do so with her wonderful art concepts.
The other creator of DeadFellaz is Psych. He is the lead artist for this collection. With over 13 years of experience, he truly understands what it takes to create art that attracts and inspires folks from different corners of the world. He is also a member of the Ultra DAO and depth core collective.
DeadFellaz Community
With over 33k followers on Twitter and Discord combined, DeadFellaz has a very strong community that is active on all platforms and shows support whenever the team needs them to. The team also has done an excellent job in keeping community members engaged with derivative contests, quizzes, and other activities in the discord server.
Unlike most collections, DeadFellaz has a unique distribution of NFTs. There are no whales that can pump and dump the price. With over 4,500 unique owners, this collection has not faced any major correction since its launch.
The community is strong and has put out great content on platforms like Twitter, creating interest for newer audiences in the NFT space. They also have a separate channel for feedback and suggestions. And from what I saw, the team considers all feedback and tries their best to implement it. With a community-driven approach, it is hard to not succeed in the long term.
Sales Overview
The strong price movement of the DeadFellaz collection has a lot to do with its sales history and floor price. In the last week, there were more than 1,700 sales and lifetime sales are 13,544. This amounts to a total trading volume of 4,928 ETH. The highest sale was 25 ETH. The sales numbers are continuing to rise, despite a major correction that happened a couple of weeks back. If we see the average secondary sale price, it has been going sideways for more than a month, and suddenly, it shot up to new highs.
The hourly floor price and sales data also tell a similar story. We have not seen any dropbacks in recent weeks, and the growth has been constant throughout. As we can see in the below chart, there have been a couple of major spikes in hourly sales. We have not seen much action from this collection for over a month, but it always added more and more unique wallets.
What’s next for DeadFellaz
The team accomplished a lot in the last two months. They created a liquidity pool on NFT20, and it has been doing great for the last few weeks. It has a total of 19 NFTs that are worth over 95,000 dollars. They have also acquired land on the Decentraland Estate (24 plot).
The derivative art challenge was a huge success and attracted thousands of new users in this space. Community members also seem to love the Headhunter competition and DeadFellaz theme song contest. For Halloween, they are planning a limited edition airdrop. DeadFellaz Infected is going to be a metaverse party featuring 13 super talented artists. There will be live music, panel discussions, raffles, and more.
The guest artists collaborate with DeadFellaz to create 13 unique sets of infected NFTs. So a total of 169 NFTs will be dropped. From the recent announcement, we can see the drop will be divided into 3 grades— 8 fresh, 4 damaged, and 1 rotten.
We believe such collaborations will bring more unity in this space, and it is going to benefit all holders in a big way, at least in the long term. After the Halloween party, there will be special artist commissions for all top holders. We have not heard of any kind of game involved or metaverse integration in the roadmap, so we have to wait and see.
Closing Thoughts
When a community is willing to hold their NFTs with a long-term outlook, the demand will automatically rise, giving astronomical returns to all early members. DeadFellaz is a stunning NFT collection that made it this far without any hype or shout outs from famous people on Social media. The community entirely drives it, and if it stays that way, we will be seeing great things coming from this collection. If you want to know more about this collection, I recommend you to join their discord server and talk to as many members as possible.
