The correlation between the crypto market and NFTs is now clearly visible. As the price of BTC broke through critical $56K-$57k levels, the floor price of many blue chips started free falling. The state of the NFT market is still unclear, as we need to monitor how the tokens will perform moving forward. Nonetheless, there have been few projects that blew past previous all-time highs and set new records. Yes, we are talking about Mekaverse. In less than 24 hours, it hit a floor price of 10 ETH, and it is now down to 6.6 ETH, given the price of Ethereum has risen quite high this past week.
I know it was impossible to get a raffle pass for the Mekaverse project, with over 200k people eagerly waiting for it. But still, we had previously mentioned Dark Horizon and The Surreals in our NFT list. They both performed really well, giving more than 2x returns in a short turnaround. If you missed last week’s picks, this one’s for you. We compiled the top 5 NFT projects that are going to drop this week (11-17 Oct), and we believe some of these have sky-high potential. Read till the end. You will likely find a gem!
#1 Jungle Freaks
The number one NFT project to watch out for is Jungle Freaks by famous cartoonist— George Trosley. I am super excited for this project, not because it has sick fully-hand-drawn artwork, but because the project is led by a son-father duo. Trosley has been drawing cartoons for nearly 50 years. His famous work—Krass & Bernie— ran continuously in CARtoons for over 20 years. He is also well recognized through Hustler Magazine.
With Trosley’s experience, the NFT community is having high expectations for Jungle Freaks. The project itself is so unique that it could potentially be compared to Mekaverse or any top collection. The community is also super supportive and rewards active members with whitelist spots. I have personally spent 4-5 hours in their discord, and couldn’t even keep up with what’s happening with this project. Everyone is excited to get their hands on a freak either through public mint or pre-sale.
The incredible discord server, superior online presence, and experienced core team— are few characteristics of this NFT project. The market sentiment around Jungle Freaks is so positive that their discord gained 12k members in less than a week. The leader of this project, aka, the Prince of the Freaks, engages well in the discord and answers every question one could possibly have about the project.
These 10,000 NFTs disguised as Zombies or Gorillas will have more than 200 traits, making them more authentic and unique for every holder. According to the roadmap, holders are set to get a free generative drop once 100% of the collection gets sold. The team will then begin developing the ultimate Jungle Freaks universe.

#2 Boonji Project
The second NFT collection I suggest you look out for this week is Boonji Project. The art is, obviously, what stands out in this project, but the story behind it is also quite different. The team decided to go with a unique approach for their public sale. It is going to be a Dutch Auction. For those not familiar, Dutch auction is a type of auction that follows a pyramid pricing structure. It starts at a high price and continues decreasing at a constant rate.
In the case of the Boonji Project, the prices start at 3.3 ETH and will rest at 0.3 ETH. Some feel this gives whales an unfair advantage, while others believe it can prevent gas wars. The team also plans to give away $5 million worth of art to drive more value and collectors to the Boonji project. The giveaways will include— 1/1 paintings, physical Boonji sculptures, and one 7-foot spaceman culture. The physical ones are being made by Brendan Murphy. And the team mentions—every 33rd buyer will win the same special edition Boonji Spaceman sculpture.

#3 Huxley
Have you ever played Halo or Call of Duty? If you didn’t, you definitely should! The senior concept designer of the two games is now launching his NFT collection. He is none other than Ben Mauro.
It is very early to predict anything about the Huxley project. But the architect is a good one. So, if you want to bet on anyone, it better be the jockey leading this project. Ben has some great connections in this industry and can attract more traditional gamers to check out his collection. His previous work is too good not to share.
The details are not yet updated for this project, so make sure you follow them on Twitter and discord server.

#4 Chaos Theory
Chaos Theory is a Solana-based NFT collection. The generative artwork is inspired by the unpredictability of nature. As many know, Chaos Theory is a branch of mathematics that tries to break down the butterfly effect. The collection is going to do the same with its different examples.
The Lorenz collection has 6,720 unique sets that can be transformed into 3D animated pictures. Some of the parameters used to design these NFTs are— radius, color palette, lines, period, and points.
Even the supply of the collection is decided by the Lorenz constant. The demonstration can be seen here. The team plans to do a pre-sale, giving access to 1680 or a quarter of the supply to early supporters of the project. They also have royalties planned. 5% of the royalties are dedicated to a creator-controlled community fund.

#5 MetaGeckos
MetaGeckos is a collection dropping on Entities launchpad with 10,000 randomly generated NFTs. The genesis of entities is a collection of 4,000 NFTs that is built by the artists for other artists. People who hold the exclusive passes of Entities can get pre-mint access to MetaGeckos. The community is slowly building a DAO that offers members-only perks and other benefits.
The community is still not doing anything out of the box, but it has done decent volume on the passes. As the platform enables artists to create a generative collection with no code, we can expect more exciting stuff coming from this project. We need to wait and watch how it’s going to play out in the coming weeks.
Closing Thoughts
The one collection I would bet on the most would be Jungle Freaks. It ticks every box necessary and has massive fans rallying the artwork all over social media. Huxley is another project I believe will attract more fans, as the artist is well known in the gaming industry. If you want to dig deep into every project, I suggest joining each and every discord server and understand how the folks are behaving every day. You will have more clarity then. That’s it for today! I hope you liked this week’s NFT list and found something you like. Stay tuned for next week.
